Dear Robert,
I appreciate everyone who came to the Republican convention on Saturday! It was so exciting to be around 8,000 energized Republicans, all taking the time the time to help our party pick our 2013 nominees. Obviously, I was disappointed not to be chosen, but I am so happy that we will have such a wonderful Attorney General in Mark Obenshain. Mark is a constitutional conservative, who will carry on the fight against federal overreach and to defend our Constitution.
I am proud to support him, and the entire Ken Cuccinelli-EW Jackson-Mark Obenshain ticket. Virginia needs them to be successful on Election Day.
I wanted to take the time to also thank you for your gracious hospitality over the last 18 months. You have welcomed me into your homes, to your Reagan dinners, and candidate debates. The comments I received both before and after the vote on Saturday only made me feel even better about the campaign and Virginia's future. Last, I wanted to thank my family, my volunteers, and my staff. I couldn't be prouder of how hard everyone worked. I will long remember the friendships we've made on the campaign trail. 
I look forward to spending time with my family, but after that, I'm sure politics will bring us together sometime down the road! Have a great summer. Sincerely,
