hannigan logo

Dear ,

Many thanks if you have already submitted your filing form and check for the Fairfax County Republican Convention scheduled for March 17 at South Lakes High School in Reston (11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston, VA 20191).

I will be updating you over the next couple of weeks about the convention schedule and generally what to expect at the convention.

If you have not signed up to be a delegate at the convention, let me remind you that Republican election results have been dismal and declining over the past few years. You do not have to accept such results.

By participating as a delegate in the Fairfax County Republican Convention, you will have a direct say in the direction that the FCRC will take during the next two years.

Please do your part by signing up for the convention and voting for an FCRC transformation focused on restructuring, reunifying, and reinvigorating the party in Fairfax County.

Reminder:  please be aware the filing forms and $25.00 checks required to become a convention delegate must be RECEIVED at the FCRC Headquarters, 4246 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA 22030, by 12:00 PM (Noon) this Saturday, February 24.

You can download the standard and military filing forms from the FCRC website here and here or from my HanniganForChairman.com website under the "FCRC Convention" dropdown box here and here. Or just call or email me, and I will email the forms to you directly.

The filing forms address numerous sign-up opportunities so I have also posted a sample of how to fill out the standard filing form showing just what part of the form that a person has to complete in order to attend the Fairfax County Republican Convention that will select the new FCRC Chairman.

At this point, if you plan to vote for me:

  • Please deliver your filing form and $25.00 check to my house (11115 Sweetwood Lane, Oakton, VA 22124) so that my team and I can ensure the form is correctly filled out and you don’t get disqualified from being a delegate because of an administrative error; or
  • Deliver your filing form and $25.00 check directly to the FCRC Headquarters (Please email me when you have made the delivery so we can track progress); or
  • Contact me and we’ll arrange to pick up the filing form and check at your house and submit them on time to the FCRC Headquarters.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call or email me:  703-314-1898, timothyhannigan@icloud.com.

Kind regards,

Politically Savvy Republicans in Fx County Endorse Tim Hannigan

See who's supporting Tim Hannigan ...

hannigan logo

Dear ,

Numerous politically experienced Fairfax County Republicans have endorsed me to lead a major transformation of the Fairfax County Republican Committee that will reverse the party’s nearly obliterating losses over the past decade and produce GOP wins in the county once again.

Savvy Republican leaders in the county recognize the need for a full-time Chairman who has extensive experience in managing large organizations, competing for win-loss decisions in high stakes environments, messaging on public policy issues, and organizing precinct-level grassroots efforts to get out the Republican vote.

Here are the endorsements of these Republican leaders:

“I endorse Tim Hannigan for Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee. I believe he will improve the effective functioning of the county party, respect volunteers and grow the party while showing improved loyalty to President Trump, the duly elected leader of the Republican Party.” – Ginni Thomas, Virginia Delegate to the Republican National Convention, (Cleveland) 2016

“I endorse Tim Hannigan for Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC). We need a Chairman who clearly supports conservative positions, will effectively lead on issues and will focus on winning elections. Tim has engaged on a breadth of topics regarding Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), often attending School Board meetings and including conservative FCPS commentary in his Fairfax Free Citizen newspaper. I urge support for Tim to restore confidence in the leadership role of FCRC.” – Elizabeth Schultz, Fairfax County School Board member from Springfield District

“I have come to know Tim over the past couple of years through the Rotary Club of Annandale. Tim has been an active participant, including writing the Club’s two-page newsletter every week and helping me to line up meeting speakers. He exemplifies service above self. Also, I very much enjoy reading his Fairfax Free Citizen. He is on top of local and state issues. We need energetic Tim to be our new FCRC Chairman leading the charge to win back Republican seats.” – Gwen Cody, Former House Delegate from Annandale

“Republicans have a choice—they can continue doing what they have been doing. ... Or, they can elect a Chairman who wants to break some eggs and make a new omelet. … The better choice is a retired Marine Corps veteran and corporate executive, Tim Hannigan, who is the editor of the Fairfax Free Citizen and conservative activist. Tim, who ran for Chairman unsuccessfully two years ago, has prepared a detailed, precinct by precinct plan for the type of nuts and bolts rebuilding that is, really, the last hope for salvaging Fairfax County and capturing new voters. ... His biggest upside? Mr. Hannigan has pledged to be a full-time Chairman, devoting the next two years to putting his bold and detailed plan in place and raising the money required to run a full-time party operation.” – Michael Giere, author, former candidate for the U.S. House, and member of the Reagan and Bush (41) Administrations

“Spike and I are supporting Tim Hannigan because we feel he is the best candidate to move the Fairfax County Republican Committee forward. He will also be able to unify and bring back the many grassroot volunteers who have left the committee. Please share with your friends and family who live in Fairfax County and ask them to become a delegate and vote for Tim on March 17th.” – Julie Williams, Vice Chairman of the 10th Congressional District Republican Committee and incoming member of the Republican State Central Committee

“I whole-heartedly support and endorse Tim Hannigan to be the new Chairman of our Fairfax County Republican Committee. Tim knows the issues facing Fairfax County and what Republicans should do to address them and win politically. Tim supported my candidacy for School Board this past summer, which gave me the chance to get to know him first hand. He is thoughtful, measured, and a great communicator. I believe he will appeal to and inspire the best ideals of our party and principals; he will be an inclusive leader; he will be a champion for all of our candidates, and a unifier of our party and our community writ-large. Please take a chance to get to know Tim, and join me in voting for him on March 17th.” Chris Grisafe, Republican-endorsed candidate for At-Large School Board member in August 2018

What is the UN doing now?

Dear Fellow Patriot,

When I first heard "Get US out of the UN", although I wasn't a big supporter of the United Nations (UN), neither did I see any need to get out of it.   After all, what harm is there in a venue where countries can get together and debate their differences?  But then, after doing my homework, I learned why it is imperative that we do get out of the UN.

If you want an overview of the history of the UN, you will find it in the attachment. But, to learn of one of their latest programs,   I recommend that you consider this:

"In yet another bid by the United Nations to sexualize and indoctrinate your children at younger and younger ages, the UN Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) just unveiled a new set of "Comprehensive Sexuality Education" standards for humanity. Among other controversies, the UN's planetary sex-ed scheme advocates masturbation, abortion, gender confusion, homosexuality, homosexual parenting, contraception, fornication, and more. The document, which cites abortion giant Planned Parenthood almost 20 times, represents a full-blown assault on parental rights and traditional morality that critics say could devastate a generation of young people. But the UN wants it to be mandatory for every child on the planet, starting at age five."

We must Get the US out of the UN.     YOU can help.

Phone President Trump at 202-456-1111 asking him to promote HR193.  (This is the American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2017.   https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/193)

You can send him a post card to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500. ( Envelopes take a long time to arrive as they have to be checked for chemicals.)

And, you can send a message by going to https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact#page

Then do these things contacting your federal representative, asking them to  Cosponsor HR193 .

Thank you for helping to save American sovereignty.

Dear ,

If I become Chairman, I will welcome all Republicans into the FCRC and Republican volunteer and voter rolls. We have too few Republicans to be holding grudges and driving people away from the GOP.

That invitation certainly includes all of the hard-working volunteers who are currently filling FCRC, magisterial district, and precinct positions now and have done so in the past. They’ve earned the opportunity to play key roles in a reorganized, reinvigorated Republican Party in Fairfax County.

Rumors of one-way rides on the Siberian Express for incumbent office-holders are unfounded and would be foolish.

Most of us learned a long time ago that competition causes us to extend beyond our comfort zones in quest of success.

It’s competition that drives athletes to achieve seemingly inhuman levels of skill, strength, speed, and endurance.

It’s internal and external competition among military organizations that causes them to strengthen their lethality, efficiency, personnel quality, order, and discipline.

It’s competition that propels business to innovate, streamline, and enhance customer service.

It’s competition that stimulates politicians to sharpen their solutions to public policy issues and constituent service and to pursue both vigorously and faithfully.

Competition can be a healthy, productive force in our lives.

Sadly, as is the case with any human endeavor, competition sometimes brings out the worst in some people. In political campaigns, efforts to seek partisan advantage can devolve to levels of negativity that sow division.

As the recipient of some “negativity” during the current campaign for FCRC Chairman, I bucket such commentary under the category of “That’s Politics.” I don’t take it personally and encourage others to regard it that way also.

My favorite sportswriter, Grantland Rice, once said about sports competition:

For when the One Great Scorer comes
     To mark against your name,
He writes – not that you won or lost –
But how you played the Game.

Indeed, our Republican Party of Virginia creed calls for Republicans to rally around a common set of values and work together in unity for a common goal.
