Virginia Beach's own Harry Diezel, who served 23 years as the city's Fire Chief and 10 years as City Councilman representing Kempsville, endorsed Scott Taylor today in his campaign for Delegate of the 85th District.
Diezel joins a long list of Virginia Beach elected officials and civic leaders who support Scott Taylor, a small business owner and former Navy SEAL.
Diezel said, "As a 23 year Fire Chief and former Councilman, I know people can trust Scott Taylor to protect our Virginia Beach families' interests and fight for them in an honorable manner in the House of Delegates. He is the only one in this race who has the temperament and judgment to be our voice in Richmond. Scott has worn our nation's uniform with honor and has sacrificed to protect and secure our country's freedoms. I respect him as a former Navy SEAL and his leadership on veterans' issues. Join me in voting for Scott Taylor, June 11th."
Scott Taylor was excited by the endorsement and said, "Councilman Diezel knows our community and has spent his career protecting and defending our neighborhoods. He is a man of impeccable character, and his endorsement and confidence in me as the next Delegate speaks to our shared commitment to safety and security."
Councilman Diezel joins Mayor Will Sessoms, Councilman Jim Wood, Councilman Bill DeSteph, Delegate Barry Knight, Delegate Bob Purkey and many other leaders from Virginia Beach.
Scott Taylor is a candidate in the Republican Primary to be held June 11th.
