Update Aug 31 Big Amazon Project in Louisa/ List of Events/ Trump/ Other

Friends,

We are looking forward to a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family and friends. It has been fun meeting and listening to folks like you while campaigning around the district. As Governor Glenn Youngkin says, we "must lock arms" and win in November. Because, right now, that is all that matters!

As you know, the General Assembly still has not passed the update to the budget where we hope to give Virginia Tax Payers another one billion dollars in tax relief, support education, law enforcement, veterans, and more. Hopefully the Democrats will support these efforts to help the folks. So, we are going into session next Wednesday September 6 to hopefully finalize the budget.

FYI, the all new General Assembly building is open to the public October 11. I'm looking forward working and representing you as your next State Senator of District 10 there soon!
Louisa County 11 Billion Dollar Project
For over a year now, on the campaign trail, Louisa County residents pointed out to us a need to lower the real estate tax rate in Louisa County to even out the huge cost of living increase in Louisa caused by the over 40% increase in real estate tax assessments. It was explained, this is especially important for folks living on a fixed income. The announcement of the Amazon Web Service's (AWS) 11 billion dollar Data Center investment in Louisa County comes from what appears to be an opportunity to create jobs and increase the Louisa County tax revenues without adding new subdivisions, roof tops, increased pressure on K-12, and other revenue consumers. We hear about the negative effects to families caused by the ever increasing cost of living at just about every door we knock. It is my hope that the real estate taxes paid by AWS will encourage the Louisa County Board of Supervisors to lower taxes and and give the folks some relief.
I will give you a more thorough Senate District 10 update after next week. Here is a few upcoming events for you to attend/ share.

Trump
The first former US President to get a mug shot. This is ridiculous. We definitely have a two-tiered justice system. Are we a Banana Republic or what? Please pray for Trump! You can support Trump here.
Be "numb to the dumb", keep it positive, and stay focused on the mission. God willing, I will win in November and continue to serve you in the Virginia State Senate. Our goal is to get as many fellow Virginia Republicans elected as possible so we can stop the nonsense. Don't forget early voting begins September 22. Please consider supporting Governor Youngkin's effort to "Secure Your Vote". Take care, please spread the word, and I look forward to seeing you around the District!
