Your prayers are appreciated. My primary opponent, being staffed by "Never Trumpers", and the presumptive Democrat nominee are constantly lying about me and my team to the voters of the Fifth District in a desperate attempt to win. But we know God defines us, not them.
It’s sadly predictable in politics today. This behavior is about running to serve yourself instead of running to serve the people.
But it won’t work here. The hardworking people of Central Virginia are smart and they see through the BS. They know my team and I are out all across the district every day, meeting with folks and actually solving problems.
Reminder: Early voting in the Republican Primary is underway. The last day to vote to re-elect John McGuire for congress is Tuesday August 4th.
Let me be clear: The Socialist/ Communist Democrat Tom Periello and George Soros are not going to buy this seat. The Fifth District belongs to the people of Central Virginia, not San Francisco billionaires or their radical leftist hand-picked candidates. |

A Virginia elementary school counselor has been indicted on 11 felony child sex crime charges, after allegedly abusing multiple innocent children for months while Albemarle County Public Schools stayed silent and failed to alert parents. Sadly, cover ups like this reminds us of the student sexual assault coverups in Loudon County and other places across our nation.
We need real accountability, not excuses or cover-ups. Parents deserve full transparency and ironclad safety for their children. No more hiding predators in our schools. No more putting the system ahead of our kids.
Right after I sent a strong letter to Governor Spanberger demanding a full independent investigation, a few local Democrat leaders are finally starting to speak up, but where is George Soros back Democrat Tom Periello? Still no comment.

Since the news broke about Valley Link’s proposed Joshua Falls-Yeatts 765-kV transmission line, hard-working families and landowners all across the Fifth District have been coming forward with serious concerns about what this project would do to their property, their farms, and their communities. I wrote a letter weeks ago to Governor Spanberger urging the Governor to reject the project, safeguard private property rights, consider less intrusive alternatives, and ensure affected citizens and local governments have a meaningful voice in the process. |

One Patriotic Movie, Young Washington |

Tracy and I enjoyed a wonderful date night watching the powerful movie Young Washington.
This patriotic film vividly portrays the rugged frontier life and the immense challenges a young George Washington faced, fighting harsh wilderness conditions, conflicts with the French, and Indian tribes. Those brutal early experiences forged him into the battle-hardened leader America desperately needed during the War of Independence.
Some of my favorite quotes:
“Is it a sin to seek advancement?” “No man who leads a life of ease will be remembered.” “Ambition waits for no one.” And when a British officer asked why he would risk going back into enemy fire, Washington replied simply: “My men.”
Most remarkably, during one of those battles, Washington had two horses shot out from under him and four bullets pass through his coat, yet he emerged completely unharmed. As Washington himself later reflected, it was only by Divine Providence that he survived. We all know God clearly had a greater purpose for him.
A great reminder of the character, courage, and faith that built our nation. Highly recommend watching it with your family! God bless you, and God bless America! |

Join The "We" Team And Help Save America |

There are many ways to serve our great nation.
Here’s an old photo of me with some of my Navy SEAL brothers from back in the day. My SEAL class started with 200 men, only 19 of us originals graduated. One SEAL class graduated zero out of 200. That’s because the Navy SEALs have high standards and you must be a team player. It’s nothing personal, you either meet them or you don’t.
The same principle applies in life. The biggest of the many reasons people fail, whether in SEAL (BUD/S) training or anywhere else, is choosing to be on the “me” team instead of the “we” team. Unfortunately, I see far too much of that selfish mindset in politics.
To save our country, we must put aside the “me” and start working hard together as a team.
As a Member of Congress and a proud veteran, I’m grateful to continue my service to our great nation on the House Armed Services Committee, fighting every day to make sure our warfighters have the equipment, training, and support they need to win and come home safely. |

I met so many wonderful people from across the county today, shaking hands, hearing your concerns, and talking about how we keep Virginia strong. A special thanks to Senator Tammy Mulchi and former Delegate Mark Cole, a fellow Navy veteran, for stopping by and supporting our community.
The Jubilee Fair is a true Southside Virginia tradition, livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, live music, carnival rides, great food, and family fun. If you missed it today, it continues tomorrow, Sunday.
After the fair and the a quick visit to the softball game, I went right back to knocking doors before heading home now for date night with my wife Tracy.
