What "Unsigning" the Arms Trade Treaty Means for American Gun Owners
Last Friday, President Trump took the historic step of ordering the "unsigning" of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty during his address to the NRA-ILA's Leadership Forum. President Trump's action effectively withdraws the United States from the most comprehensive effort towards international gun control.

Pro-Gun Congressmen Introduce Bill to Modernize Gun Sales
On Wednesday, Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) led several pro-gun members of his caucus – including Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-La.), Andy Barr (R-Ky.), Clay Higgins (R-La.), Mike Johnson (R-La.), Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.), and David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) – in introducing a bill to modernize the way firearms are sold under federal law. The Firearms Interstate Commerce Reform Act (FICRA) would update antiquated provisions of the Gun Control Act that reflect a bygone era of criminal recordkeeping and remove arbitrary impediments for law-abiding gun buyers and sellers.

Swiss Politician Attacks Military Officers' Association Over Pro-Rights Stance
As NRA-ILA previously reported, on May 19 Swiss citizens will vote in a referendum to determine whether the idyllic and well-armed mountain nation will conform their domestic gun laws to the new European Firearms Directive. Expedited following the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, the new European Firearms Directive requires European Union member states to enact a host of minimum gun control laws, including new registration and licensing requirements and restrictions on centerfire semi-automatic firearms. Switzerland is not a member of the EU, but is a member of the Schengen Area. Swiss gun control proponents have claimed that a failure to align domestic law with the European Firearms Directive would endanger the neutral nation's Schengen status.

City of New York (No. 15-683). The case arises out of a challenge to New York City's notoriously restrictive handgun licensing scheme.

Are you coming to the rally? We need you there.

Robert --

We have had it.  The pro-life movement here in Virginia is ready to take a stand. Hundreds of Virginia citizens who care about the life of the unborn will meet in Capitol Square

When: Thursday, February 7th at 10:00am
Where: 1000 Bank Street, Richmond

We are one of numerous organizations calling on the people of Virginia to take a stand against the Governor's statements about infanticide and Del Tran's bill that would allow for abortion up to the moment of birth.

Other groups supporting this event include Concerned Women of America-Virginia, The American Life League, and the Hosea Initiative.

In case you missed it.........

On January 30, 2019 Virginia's Governor Ralph Northam said that a baby could be full term, fully delivered of it's mother and THEN a decision will can be made as to the life of the baby (Interview with WTOP).
Here's what he said, "If a mother is in labor...the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians & mother"

Watch the clip here.

This is open support for infanticide, and now the Governor is trying to backtrack on his comments. The people of VA will not be fooled.

In fact, when asked at a press conference this week if he had regret for what he said, he answered, "No. No, I do not."

This followed a discussion about a bill proposed this session by Delegate Kathy Tran (Springfield, VA) would allow for abortion up until the point of dilation during labor just before birth. Here's a transcript of what occurred during the sub-committee hearing on the bill:

"Where it's obvious that a woman is about to give birth, that she has physical signs that she is about to give birth, would that still be a point at which she could request an abortion if she was so certified?" Gilbert asked.

"She's dilating," he continued, using the term for a woman's cervix naturally opening to allow a baby to exit his mother during birth. "I'm asking if your bill allows that."

"My bill would allow that, yes," she said.

Watch the clip here.

The bill would have repealed restrictions on third trimester abortions, allow abortionists to self-certify the necessity of the procedures, eliminate informed consent requirements, repeal health and safety standards for abortion clinics, allow late-term abortions to be performed in outpatient clinics, waive ultrasound requirements, and eliminate the 24 hour waiting period for abortions in Virginia, among other provisions.

The bill may have died in committee, but the agenda for abortion until delivery continues.

This is a grassroots movement. We are proud to be a part of it. Would you consider a donation to us today as we push back?

Fighting Back Against the Deep State and Its Media Enablers

Join us in a conversation with Jerome Corsi, author of "Dr. Corsi Investigates: Why the Democratic Party Has Gone Communist."

Dear Patricia,

The Mueller investigation, now in its third year, has turned from a Russian collusion inquiry into an all-purpose fishing expedition designed to elicit evidence – any evidence – to warrant impeaching President Trump.

Best-selling author Dr. Jerome Corsi, who has written extensively about the Deep State's antipathy toward anyone not on the Left, has become a target who is fighting back.

On January 22, Larry Klayman, counsel for Dr. Corsi, announced that he filed an Amended Complaint on his client's behalf against Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the Department of Justice and the FBI, intelligence agencies, Washington Post owner and CEO Jeff Bezos and Post reporter Manuel Roig-Franzia.

The suit alleges that they "have acted and continue to act in concert to coerce, extort and blackmail Dr. Corsi into providing false testimony under oath to the Special Counsel with the design to indict and/or remove President Donald J. Trump from his duly elected office," according to Dr. Corsi's website, corsination.com.

The Amended Complaint alleges unlawful violations of the Fourth Amendment, the USA Freedom Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, grand jury secrecy laws under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, as well as tortious interference with business relations and defamation.

Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D., formerly served as Washington Bureau Chief for Infowars.com. Dr. Corsi worked for 12 years as a Senior Staff Reporter for WND.com, previously World Net Daily, from 2004 through January 2017.

Since 2004, Dr. Corsi has published more than 20 books, six of which were New York Times Best Sellers. Two of his books reached the top of the list, ranking No. 1 on the New York Times non-fiction book list: "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry," co-authored in 2004 with John O'Neill, and "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality" in 2008.

In 1968, Dr. Corsi received a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he majored in political science and economics. In 1972, he received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University.

Please join us for this informative and stimulating conversation.

The "I" is for Integrity

Robert --

Governor Ralph Northram and Democrat leaders in the Virginia General Assembly want to make it easier for individuals to commit voter fraud here in Virginia.  He announced Monday that he would support repeal of the Virginia Voter ID laws that require voters to show a valid, government issued, photo ID to vote.

This is not good for the Commonwealth.

Listen here to Virginia First Foundation President, James Atticus Bowden as he discusses this issue.

Voter ID laws protect the integrity of the voting process and ensure that voters are who they say they are. Everyone knows that a photo ID is a reasonable check. Voter ID is required for banking, employment, air travel, and more for the safety and protection of others. Voting should not be any different.

Call the Governor's office and tell him to keep Voter ID laws in place to uphold the integrity of our election process. 804.786.2211

Want to help us ensure that voter ID laws stay in place? Consider donating today!

With your help financially and your phone calls to legislators, we can stop repeals of needed Voter ID laws.

Best Regards,
