[Peninsula-Patriots] Action needed

 (Remember:  "Con Con" is a Constitutional Convention to amend the U. S. Constitution....)   In this political climate and recent election, we can trust no one to tamper with our Constitution!  The possibilities are endless !!

In regard to the bill about a Con Con (HB 1421) that has been filed by Delegate Pogge:

 

To her credit, Brenda Pogge voted against a Con Con in the last Assembly and has said that she will do so again.

Nevertheless, she is the chief patron of  a bill in this session that deals with the selection of delegates to a Con Con. She has said that it would help prevent a Con Con from becoming a run-away. But that overlooks all the other ramifications,  implies favorable acceptance of  calling for a Constitutional Convention and  would actually encourage the promoters of a Con Con to call for one.

 

 She has said that she has only "prefiled' HB1421.  However,  all bills that have been introduced are prefiled. No further action is required.

 

So, as we commend her for her stand against a Con Con, we should ask her to rescind HB1421.   brenda@brendapogge.com
