The "Boneta Bill" (named after Martha Boneta, the farmer in question) - HB 1430 will strengthen Virginia's Right-to-Farm law and support our local farmers. We SUPPORT this bill. Please join us at the RALLY at the Bell Tower on the Capitol grounds at 3:30 PM and the press conference at 4:00 PM _____________________________________________________________ Committee: Senate Commerce & Labor Committee When: 30 minutes after the Senate adjourns (+/- 1:00-1:30 PM) Where: General Assembly Building - Senate Room B - 1st Floor Smart Meters (aka Advanced Meters) are wireless electrical meters that have two-way communication with the power companies. They cause significant health problems, have privacy and cyber-security issues and have even been known to explode and cause fires. How do you feel about your power company (and anyone who can hack the system) knowing what appliances you are using every minute of the day? Right now, power companies can install these meters without our knowledge or consent. Local areas in Dominion Power's "test" markets include Midlothian, all of Albemarle County, parts of Richmond City and parts of Williamsburg. Please contact these Senators and urge them to SUPPORT SB 797 which gives We the People the right to make an informed decision. Call, write, and attend the meeting!
