Robert, thank you! If you were following along on our progress toward the $60,000 year-end matching goal last week, you may have seen that we stood at $58,056 as of midnight on Saturday, December 31st – just shy of our $60,000 goal and the $30,000 bonus for raising the full amount of the match. Well, I am delighted to report this afternoon that The Family Foundation received an additional $3,368 in contributions that were postmarked on or before December 31st, just in time to count towards the 2011 year-end matching campaign Therefore we finished with a total of $61,424 and not only met the match challenge but also earned the $30,000 match bonus! That means a total of $151,424 in support of the legislative, education and accountability programs of the Ignite campaign in 2012. This was our best year-end finish ever, eclipsing the $100,000 we raised via a $50,000 matching gift last year. All of us at The Family Foundation want to express our heartfelt thanks for all who contributed and/or spread the news about this opportunity to like-minded friends and family members. Thank you for your partnership in our mission to make Virginia the most family-friendly state in the U.S.! I thought you would appreciate hearing this wonderful news and I hope you share my enthusiasm for this tremendous result. We are so thankful to be starting 2012 with such a strong foundation and ready to hit the ground running when the General Assembly convenes next week. Sincerely, Victoria E. Cobb President
