I'm off to Richmond!

The 2012 legislative session kicked off today with the swearing in of twenty Republicans and twenty Democrats in the Virginia State Senate, with Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling as the tie breaking vote

I would greatly appreciate your input as I look at the issues facing lawmakers this year. Please take a moment to fill out our legislative survey by clicking here.

Your opinions are very valuable to me as I weigh the important issues of the 2012 session. The most important tool that a lawmaker can have during session is a good grasp on the views of voters within the district. I appreciate you taking the time to provide this important feedback.

I'll be sending you updates throughout the session.  Please feel free to contact me via e-mail or by calling 804-698-7853.  You can also track the status of legislation on the Virginia General Assembly website. If you are on Facebook, I invite you to visit my Facebook page to get updates on issues facing us today.

If you are in Richmond, I encourage you to stop by my office (Rm. 308) in the General Assembly Building, located next to the Capitol Building.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I thank you for the opportunity to represent the 13th District in Richmond.

Warm regards,

Dick Black
