Dear Robert, The fight for climate protection is a tough one; a lot of doom and gloom out there and big money from big polluters like the Koch Bros, Exxon and Dominion Virginia Power. We thought we'd sweeten up the debate a little by declaring February 8th through the 14th Chocolate Lovers for Climate Protection Week! Tell your legislators that chocolate and climate change don't mix! Chocolate cultivation in the tropics is threatened by severe weather associated with climate disruption like the ongoing droughts in West Africa and in Brazil so there is a compelling reason why Chocolate Lovers should be for climate protection! Besides, who doesn't like chocolate, right? And if we can engage all the chocolate lovers out there, we just might tap into a new vein of climate activists. So act today for the love of chocolate! Thanks, Glen Besa, Director Sierra Club Virginia Chapter and a Chocolate Lover for Climate Protection P.S. To make our point to legislators about Chocolate and climate change, we'll be providing each Senator and Delegate a chocolate with a climate message.
