BOB FITZSIMMONDS LOST 4 PREVIOUS RACES - NEVER WON.  WHY?

State Senate Candidate Bob FitzSimmonds has run for a seat in the General Assembly in 1985, 1999, 2003 and in 2007 never having won elected office.  Bob has been running unsuccessfully for office for over 15 years.

This is Bob's fifth attempt at winning an election.  Although I admire and agree with Bob on fiscal and social issues, the reality is that Republicans are only a few seats away from gaining control of the Senate, and Tuesday's election is too important to risk losing this seat.

Virginia FREE recently described this race this way, "Democrat and Loudoun businessman Shawn Mitchell will face the winner of a lively three-way GOP primary between former Delegate and icon of conservatism, Dick Black; Prince William Supervisor John Stirrup; and perennial candidate Bob FitzSimmonds."

I am asking for your vote on Tuesday because I can beat the Democrat in November.  The Democrats have carefully chosen a candidate from Loudoun County (which makes up 74% of the district.)  I have lived in Loudoun County for 15 years, but I have strong ties to Prince William County too.

I am the only candidate, Republican or Democrat, elected to the General Assembly.  I served for eight years and represented over 80,000 voters in this district.

On Tuesday, please vote for Dick Black for State Senate and together we'll get Virginia moving in the right direction again!
