VPAP Weekly Update
Eyes on 2021
VPAP updated its unofficial list of 2021 gubernatorial candidates this week to include Former Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who filed paperwork Wednesday to set up an official campaign committee. See the list and candidates' money raised as of June 30 on our Election page.
See "Mean Tweets" Sept. 16
VPAP's Virtual Fundraiser will feature "Mean Tweets" -- with more than a dozen General Assembly members reading not-so-nice social media posts about themselves.
Headliners will be Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Fairfax) and Senator Emmett Hanger (R-Augusta). All proceeds support VPAP. Learn more about sponsorship levels here.
These visual timeline traces the paths taken by the men and women who serve in the State Senate and House of Delegates, from their place of birth, education, previous political experience and more.
Hispanics make up 10 percent of Virginia's population, but account for more than one-third of confirmed COVID-19 cases in which the race of persons tested were reported.
Each week, VPAP and RadioIQ team up to bring you a pair of human interest stories culled from the headlines of VaNews. The segments are produced by WVTF in Roanoke and carried on public radio stations across the Commonwealth.
