ACTION NEEDED SUNDAY NIGHT OR MONDAY MORNING

Some important bills are moving in both the Senate and the House and we need to let our legislators know how we want them to vote on those bills. There are FOUR action items below (pro-gun bills in the House, pro-gun bills in Senate, an anti-gun bill in the House, and an anti-gun bill in the Senate). Please act on all four - we have made it easy and quick for you to do. Click on the link in each section to send the prewritten email.

1. Pro-gun bills in the Senate

Urge your Senator to support HB 878 (LaRock, requires CLEO sign off on Form 4s) and HB 962 (Cline, codifies and clarifies that a loaded handgun in a closed compartment or container in a vehicle is legal without a CHP).

2. Pro-gun bills in the House

Urge your Delegate to support HB 705 (Gilbert, requires Virginia to honor CHPs from all other states) and HB 317 (Berg, allows CHP holders to carry in the NON-secure areas of airport terminals once again).

3. Anti-gun bill in the Senate

Urge your Senator to oppose SB 65 (Marsh, a redundant and unnecessary bill on "celebratory gunfire." It is already a felony if a reckless shot kills or wounds somebody. It is also a serious misdemeanor if you fire such a shot even if no one is hurt).
