It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Martin Brown as the new Executive Director of S.T.A.N.D. His experience and Christian character make him a tremendous asset to our organization, and I am excited to have him aboard. Mr. Brown served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Health and Human Resources under Governor George Allen, and Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services during the administration of Governor James Gilmore. Under Governor Bob McDonnell he headed up the Virginia Department of Social Services and served as Special Advisor for Prisoner Reentry and Family Reintegration. Martin Brown also served as Executive Director for The Family Foundation in 1998 and 1999. He is a graduate of Howard University's School of Business Administration. He and his wife have two children and reside in the Metro-Richmond area of Virginia. You will be able to reach Martin at Martin@standamerica.us. I also want to thank Daniel Bradshaw who has served me in more than one capacity over the last two years. He has been an invaluable help in getting STAND operating after my hiatus while a candidate for Lt. Governor. Daniel is a young man of tremendous potential, and remains a great friend and part of my team. I am grateful for his dedicated service and pray God's blessings upon him as he continues the fight for conservative principles in other venues. |
