| | My Congressional Race Is Picking Up Steam | | We outraised my opponent. Since announcing for Congress with fewer than 30 fundraising days in the 4th quarter 2023 against an incumbent and with the challenge of collecting commitments over the holidays, Team McGuire still received more funds and has clearly built more momentum and excitement for our campaign than Bob Good who had a full quarter. We will take Support wherever we can get it, but unlike my opponent who will say anything to save himself, to date we have received no money from the former speaker.
As your legislator, I work for you and I am committed to protecting your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I'm running to represent the 5th to answer the countless calls from constituents from all over the district who are tired of our current Congressman's betrayal of Trump, bullying divisive behavior, and lack of accomplishments. We can do better than Good. | | You can't trust him, a prominent Republican said "It's like having an offensive tackle take out his own quarterback." Once again, Bob Good has put his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. From taking 2.5 million dollars from Kevin McCarthy to returning the favor by joining with every House Democrat like Nancy Pelosi to remove the speaker, Good has now flip flopped his “support” to Donald Trump after DeSantis dropped out of the race. Then the next day just one day later he trashed Trump at a Lynchburg GOP meeting. Then he went on CNN and admitted on live National TV he says one thing about Trump in public and another thing about Trump in private. Click here We can do better than Good.
Make no mistake, when its convenient, Good will betray Trump again. We can’t afford to send Trump back to the White House without a Republican majority that backs him 100%. While Bob is about bullying divisive behavior, I am committed to the Make America Great Again movement!

Governor Glenn Youngkin, Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears, and fellow legislators are working hard to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Everything is more expensive. Can we convince Democrats in the House and the Senate to reduce taxes and give fellow Virginians a break?
Here is some of what is on my mind and what we have been up to: | | First Lady Suzanne Youngkin Focuses on Fentanyl | | Fentanyl is the focus of a statewide drug awareness campaign that Virginia first lady Suzanne Youngkin launched Tuesday in Roanoke. Click here. | | On Wednesday, I defended VA citizens’ gun rights on the Senate floor. Senate Democrats have introduced legislation to strip Virginians of their essential right to defend themselves. As conservatives, we must fight to prevent the overturning of our fundamental constitutional right. | | I also spoke on my bill SB 604 against the boycott, divestment, and economic sanctions of Israel and to prevent public bodies from allowing contracting businesses and affiliates in doing so. I will always stand with Israel and their sacred right to exist. This bill failed on a party line vote. Click here | | American Soldiers Killed in Jordan | | Freedom isn't free. Thank God we have brave men and women in our armed forces protecting our freedom. Our thoughts and prayers are with the three soldiers killed in a drone attack and their families in this time of loss. | | Kurt Russell Destroys Woke Insanity | | Watch Kurt Russell DESTROY Woke Insanity in EPIC VIDEO - Hollywood Goes CRAZY! click here | | On Tuesday, I met with stakeholders to talk about my SB 222 on Cybersecurity- including Josh Heslinga, Director of Legal & Legislative Services of the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA); Joyce Reed, Deputy Secretary of Administration (VITA); Bob Osmond, Chief Information Officer of VITA; and Sam Nixon, Chief Administrative Officer of the State Corporation Commission (SCC). With cybersecurity threats on the rise, it is imperative we take action to secure our Commonwealth’s infrastructure. | | I was able to meet with some of our youngest constituents from Fork Union Military Academy of Fluvanna County. Thank you Fork Union Academic Dean and Fluvanna Supervisor Mike Goad and Admissions Counselor Michael Head for bringing these young men to the Virginia State Capitol. | | During Virginia Municipal League Day, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Goochland County Administrator Victor Carpenter and Community Affairs Manager Paul Drumwright. | | I had the pleasure of meeting with the Hanover Board of Supervisors including Susan Dibble of South Anna District, Jeff S. Stoneman of Beaverdam District, and Sean M. Davis of Henry District. Hanover County Administrator John Budesky and the rest of the Hanover Team shared their legislative concerns with me. | | No government entity will ever love a child more than a parent. This is a tragic story out of Appomattox County, where the high school hid Sage’s change in sex identification from Sage’s mother. Her mother was unable to protect Sage from the evil world of human trafficking. Sage’s Mom Michelle Blair told her heartbreaking story to the committee. Unfortunately, my bill “Sage's Law” was killed in the Democrat-controlled Senate. It would have required any school professional, who reasonably suspects a student is at risk of suicide, or “is self-identifying as a different biological sex”, to contact at least one of the student’s parents, to notify the parent, and to offer counseling. Our kids should be number one! | | Richmond Association of Realtors | | Representatives from the Richmond Association of Realtors stopped by, and we chatted in my office- along with my favorite realtor of all, my wife Tracy. With high interest rates and increased regulation, it is a tough time to buy a house. | | Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) | | Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia - principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. PVCC is one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). | | We must secure the border now. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans age 18 to 45. Human/ sex trafficking of minors is going up every day due to the open borders. I'm glad more and more states, including Virginia, are joining Texas Governor Abbott in stopping the invasion at our southern border. | | | | Vicky A. Harte Louisa County Town Council Member | | I met with constituents from Buckingham County and other localities who are alumni of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Thank you for sharing your concerns. | | United Methodist Church Visit | | We appreciate the opportunity to meet with constituents who represent the United Methodist Church. | | February 1st marks the start of Black History Month. I spoke in the General Assembly session to reflect on past and present leaders who have contributed so much to fulfill the promise of America. Frederick Douglass- himself was a slave- is one of the most notable social reformers of our nation’s history. ...Shall not be infringed. | | Family Loses Custody of Daughter Over Gender Transition | | A Montana couple, Krista and Todd Kolstad, is facing a heart-wrenching battle after losing custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Jennifer, who expressed a desire to transition her gender. The family’s ordeal began when Jennifer’s statements about suicidal thoughts prompted Child Protective Services (CPS) to intervene in August 2023. Click here | | Senator Chris Head served with me in the House of Delegates. | | President Trump is responsible for two peace treaties in the Middle East. Are people waking up to what we already know? | | On Monday, I was privileged to meet with constituents representing the Virginia Farm Bureau. The Virginia Farm Bureau supports all Virginia agriculture and is especially helpful to the 10th district in its vocal support and education for our state’s farmers. Our farmers will always have my full support! | | Pastor and Dr. David Anderson & his wife Eunjou. Thank you for the prayers. | | | Kirby Burch, the Chief Operating Officer of VHDA, along with many other local chapters the Virginia Hunting Dog Alliance stopped by my office Monday, and I had the pleasure of introducing them in the gallery during the General Assembly session. The counties that were represented include Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Louisa, Hanover, Amelia, Prince Edward, and Powhatan. | | We met with constituents who support and advocate for the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). | | 2024 McGuire Legislative Agenda | | Here is some of the legislation brought to me by constituents and sponsored by me to improve Virginia.
