Kari Lake for US Senate in Iowa Helping Trump!
Unlike my Never Trumper Opponent Bob Good, Fellow Patriot Kari Lake and I are in Iowa working hard to make sure Trump wins the Iowa Caucus!
Iowa Caucus Trump All The Way!
We are working hard to help Trump win. This weekend I am in Iowa helping Trump "Big Don" win the Iowa Caucus. We are making calls, putting together yard signs, and more. If you have Team Trump friends in Iowa, please send them to this website to get caucus details https://ia.donaldjtrump.com/
2024 Session Update Week 1
The General Assembly was convened this week on January 10th. Governor Glenn Youngkin and fellow legislators are working hard to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Everything is more expensive. Can we convince Democrats in the House and the Senate to reduce taxes and give fellow Virginians a break?

Here is some of what is on my mind and what we have been up to:
McGuire Awarded Policy Maker of the Year!
Friday, I was honored to receive the Virginia ACTE Policy of the Year Award. The Association for Career and Technical Education provides students the opportunity to learn trade skills such as agriculture science, and engineering, while still in high school. This award is a great recognition for a team effort. It really is amazing what we can achieve when we respect one another, put our differences aside, and work as a team.
2023 McGuire Legislative Agenda
Here is some of the legislation brought to me by constituents and sponsored by me to improve Virginia.

Bills:
Annual Commonwealth Prayer Breakfast
Before the assembly started, I attended the annual Commonwealth prayer breakfast. I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to usher in the session than by asking for God’s guidance and wisdom for the Governor, for legislators, and for all those doing the people's work in Richmond. I especially ask for your prayers that God would use me to accomplish his will as I work for you in Richmond.
Swearing In State Senate
This week, I had the privilege of being sworn in to continue serving you in the State Senate! The three committees assigned to me in the Senate: Privileges and Elections, Transportation, and Local Government.
Congratulations to Our Newest State Senator
Tammy Brankley Mulchi D9
Congratulations to our Newest Delegate Eric Phillips D48
State of the Commonwealth
Governor Glenn Youngkin gave his annual State of the Commonwealth address. I look forward to continuing to work with him to deliver on his promise to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Although Democrats have a one seat majority in both chambers, the Governor struck an optimistic tone on his belief that we can deliver for Virginians in a bipartisan manner.
Virginia Federation of Republican Women
I was pleased to meet with the Virginia Federation of Republican Women at their annual breakfast. VFRW is a Republican volunteer organization consisting of over 45 local clubs of diverse women throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. VFRW is a member of the National Federation of Republican Women, the largest grassroots organization of active Republican women in the country. A big thank you for everything these women, including Jean Gannon of Powhatan, do to promote conservative ideals.
Annual Ag Dinner
Tracy, my favorite Hokie, and I are seen here with the Virginia Tech President Timothy Sands and our Louisa County friend Jim Riddell.
Another event I was excited to attend was the annual dinner for agriculture. Our district, is the most impactful Agriculture, and Forest district in Virginia. Governor Youngkin spoke about the need to preserve and support the agriculture and forestry industries in Virginia. Virginia farmers and other Ag folks will always have 100% of my support.
Career & Technical Education (CTE)
I am excited to have introduced another bill this year that will promote CTE learning and diversify our workforce development in high school by making adjustments to the advanced diploma curricula. I presented this bill in the Senate Public Education Subcommittee yesterday. We will continue to debate this bill next week when we meet again.
Senate Republican Caucus Reception
I attended the 20th annual Senate Republican Caucus Reception at the Jefferson Hotel downtown Richmond.

We are Living in Clown World
I'm running for Congress because the enemy isn't at the gate -- the enemy is THROUGH the gate and in our communities. Open borders, fentanyl, lawlessness, out of control spending, and more. Our country is in big trouble. I am running to represent the people of the 5th Congressional District because I am a conservative with a record of building teams to solve problems. We can do better than Good.

I've been all over the district and I can tell you the 5th Congressional District loves Trump and the America First Agenda!

I invite you and your friends to join me in this cause. Take care, please spread the word and I look forward to seeing you around the district!
For God and Country,

Delegate John McGuire
