My bills to protect you from government spying into your personal life will be heard TOMORROW, January 14, 2015 in the Criminal Laws Subcommittee.
HB 1308 will cause those who intercept, monitor or access electronic communications meant to be kept confidential between parties in a confidential relationship to be charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor. Confidential relationships include, husband and wife, attorney/client, doctor/patient, counselor or therapist/patient and clergy and a person seeking counsel.
HB 1408 will require the use of a warrant to use a Stingray or similar device to monitor electronic communications or gain real-time location for individuals.
