Delegate Chris Stolle Endorses Scott Taylor

From the Desk of Delegate Chris Stolle:

When I was first given the honor of serving the citizens of the 83rd district in 2009, the 83rd district included four precincts which are included in the 85th district due to redistricting. It was an honor to come to know and serve so many great citizens in the Kempsville area many of which are long-time Kempsville natives deeply committed to their community. I have also had the distinct honor to serve with Delegate Bob Tata as a member of the House Education Committee. Delegate Tata leaves a behind a deep legacy - the legacy of being a true public servant by putting the citizens of the district and our great Commonwealth ahead of politics. I was raised to believe that each of us have a responsibility to serve our community in some way, and I share Delegate Tata's commitment to doing what's right for those you serve ahead of political gain.

The citizens of the 85th district deserve a representative in Richmond who will be ready on day one to continue Delegate Tata's legacy of public service. That is why I have endorsed Scott Taylor and I'm asking you to support him as well this Tuesday, June 11th.

Here are my reasons:

1. I have known Scott since 2008 and I have grown to admire his work ethic. In fact, what many may not know is while campaigning over the past several months and while also working, Scott has also found time to further his own education by seeking a degree in International Relations from Harvard. Scott shares my dedication to life-long learning and I look forward to working with him to ensure our students receive a first class education regardless of their zip code.

2. Scott has been an advocate for veterans and serves as the Chairman of the OPSEC Education Fund. As a fellow Navy veteran and the Vice-Chair of the Board of Veterans Services, I know Scott will be a valued team member of the Military Caucus working to make Virginia the best state in the country for veterans.

3. Scott has already proven while serving as a NAVY SEAL that he possesses the mindset of a team player to get the job done. Our great city will be without three senior members of the Virginia Beach delegation when the legislature reconvenes in January. I'm confident that if elected, Scott will work closely with all the Virginia Beach delegation to prompt our city and our region on day one!
