Recently, I wrote to you to introduce the Liberty Now PAC – my new initiative to help elect principled conservatives to the Virginia state senate. As you know, Republicans currently hold the majority by a slim 21-19 margin. Such a close margin means the Democrats are going to go all out to win even just a few seats. With Virginia's 40 state senate seats up for election this November, it's crucial that we support the conservative candidates running in these races.
Nancy is running in Virginia's 21st District which includes Giles County and Roanoke City, as well as parts of both Montgomery and Roanoke Counties. This area has been represented by a liberal Democrat for nearly twenty years! It's time for that to change, and Nancy is a hard-working leader who can make that happen.
As a former small business owner, Nancy Dye brings a unique perspective to issues such as jobs, the economy, and the effect that government overreach and regulation at the state level has on local businesses and entrepreneurs. As a retired surgeon, she understands the complexity associated with the current healthcare policies and how they are hurting our Virginia families. Additionally, her experience and investment in the community through her service with local charities and schools as well as on various area boards, proves her involvement and dedication to the people of the 21st District.
A long-time Roanoke resident, Nancy has worked hard to serve the public throughout her career. I am confident that, if elected to the Virginia state senate, she will continue to work for the people by advancing a conservative stance on issues such as education and lower taxes.
The long-time liberal Democratic incumbent, John Edwards, is the ONLY Senate Democrat south or west of Roanoke in Virginia - let's help Nancy make Southwest Virginia a conservative shade of red! I served in the Senate with John, and I can tell you first hand he's a pro-tax, big government guy who has shown disregard for the Constitution. For example, he has often talked about being supportive of the Second Amendment, but then a funny thing happens… when it comes around to voting, he never quite supports the Second Amendment… and so it has gone with John … for decades!
Isn't it time that the people of Virginia's 21st District have a strong, conservative voice in Richmond?
