Dear Friend:
My campaign to be Virginia's next Attorney General is in full swing. Since March, I've been criss-crossing the state, visiting Republican committees and other conservative groups. Everywhere I go, I've told people that if I am elected, I will fight to defend the Constitution and to promote public safety. As you can imagine, this message has gotten a pretty good reception!
Of course, these are not new battles for me.
During my decade in the General Assembly, I've fought to defend our Constitutional rights. I was the co-patron for House Bill 10, which helped form the basis for Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's challenge to Obamacare. Earlier this year, I was proud to co-author the Constitutional Amendment to place additional protections for private property in the Virginia Constitution. (The referendum for this will be on the ballot this November.)
I've also worked for safer streets and neighborhoods. I've written laws to keep sex offenders off school property and to mandate jail for drunk drivers who have children in the car. I also sponsored last year's expansion of protective orders. This year I patroned the law to require life in prison for those criminals who commit serious sexual crimes against children under 13.
I'd like to continue this work as Attorney General, and I need your help. The next fundraising deadline is June 30.
I hope you will help with a donation of $25, $50, $100 or more. You can donate online by clicking here.
Best wishes for a wonderful summer! See you on the campaign trail.
Rob Bell
Delegate, 58th District
PS: The political professionals say that early donations are especially valuable because they encourage further contributions. My next fundraising deadline is June 30. I hope you will consider a donation of $25, $50, $100 or more. You can also donate online here.
