Monday In Tampa - A Recap

Dear Friends and Fellow Virginians,

Yesterday morning I flew into Tampa for the Republican National Convention. The worst of the tropical storm missed us here. Yet, if we continue down the path that president Obama wants to take us, the worst of the economic storm could still be ahead of us.

When Ronald Reagan ran for President in 1980 he asked us a simple question: Are you better off than you were four years ago? Click here to watch Reagan's famous speech.

Three decades later you ask yourself the same question. Has President Obama delivered on his promise for "Change?" Has he brought "Hope" to the homes of the unemployed and middle class struggling to keep up with their mortgage?

Even by his own low standards President Obama has failed.

This is exactly why I'm writing you from the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Simply put, we can do better.

The bulk of the convention has been pushed back and squeezed into the next three days. While nothing of critical importance happened yesterday, our Chairman Reince Priebus opened ceremonies by starting a Debt Clock. This simple gesture symbolizes the President's lack of leadership and failure to address our most urgent problem: getting our fiscal house in order.

Over the past four years Obama has waged a war against the American values that make this country great. America was built on hard work, entrepreneurship and the nurturing of liberty. Job-killing regulations, oppressive taxes, and the centralization of power in Washington, D.C. is jeopardizing the very foundation of this economy. We simply cannot afford four more years of his anti-business, anti-free market policies,

It's time that we stand up to Barack Obama and his failed policies and tell him: we can do better.

With only 70 days left to Election Day we need all hands on deck. Please contact my office at 703-766-0635 or email Noah at noah@cuccinelli.com to get involved.

Sincerely,
