This petition will be automatically e-mailed right to your Virginia delegate and senator! Sending these petitions early (now!) is important to our legislative strategy because when legislators begin receiving these communications from their own constituents, they will be much more inclined to reserve time for a personal meeting with me, review our educational materials, etc.
In short, the legislators MUST know that their constituents are behind COS or they will have little motivation to support or even seriously consider our resolution. In fact, I have spoken with a number of delegates who have told me that they are hearing from outspoken opponents of COS within their districts. We have to counter that opposition by speaking out. We cannot let the voices of those who favor big, intrusive government--or those who believe that the next election will solve everything--be more persistent than we are.
