Admin Ralph E WallSr started the discussion "Medicaid expansion in Va. still a threat" in the group Commonwealth of Virginia on Tea Party Command Center
------------
On March 8, Virginia's Regular Legislative Session ended in a stalemate. The Virginia Assembly and Senate were at an impasse over the expansion of ObamaCare through a Medicaid expansion (ObamaCaid) in Virginia's budget. However, Gov. Terry McAuliffe has called them back to Richmond on March 24 for a special session.
And Gov. McAuliffe is now busy traveling the states to garner support for his ObamaCare priority. We need your help between now and March 24 to meet with your delegate and senators and urge them to oppose efforts to expand Medicaid (ObamaCaid) in Virginia's budget!
Initially, the federal government would pay 100 percent of the cost of expanding Medicaid and then later would cover 90 percent. However, based on the federal government's own spending problems, Virginians most likely would be left "holding the bag" on the "ObamaCaid" expansion.
Already before the new "ObamaCaid expansion," Medicaid costs have been increasing about 8 percent per year. This is already a budget-buster and must not be further expanded.
It is crucial that you meet with your legislators while they are back in their districts and tell them that Washington policies will hurt Virginia families!
