Dear Friend:

I hope you saw the article "Virginia Proposes to 'Enshrine' Limits on Eminent Domain" in today's Richmond Times-Dispatch.  I was proud to co-author this Constitutional Amendment in the General Assembly, which is intended to protect private property rights and defend Virginians from abusive eminent domain.  Virginia voters will be able to vote on the Amendment this November.

If you would like to support the Amendment and haven't done so, please sign the online petition, here.

Bill Signing Ceremony at Capitol

If you would like to come to the ceremony where Governor McDonnell will sign bills concerning eminent domain, I hope you will join us on July 16th at 10:30 a.m. in the Old Senate Chamber at the State Capitol in Richmond.  Governor McDonnell has been a strong supporter of property rights, both as Attorney General and now as Governor.  Directions are here

The Governor's office has requested that you RSVP if you know you are coming so that they can ensure sufficient space.  (Please e-mail me back and I will forward the information on to them.)

Thanks again for your interest in preserving our Constitutional rights.

Sincerely,

Rob Bell
Delegate, 58th District
