Mid-year disclosures online

VPAP posts mid-year finance reports

The nonpartisan Virginia Public Access Project has posted some -- but not all -- campaign finance reports that were due today at 5 p.m.

Note: There has been a delay in the State Board of Elections tranferring the data to VPAP. At this point, VPAP has only reports filed by 2 p.m. today. We hope to have all the files up later this evening. VPAP has posted those files that are available:

COMING THURSDAY: VPAP'S ADDED VALUE

VPAP staff will work to process the transactions from the mid-year reports into its database.

By Thursday afternoon, VPAP staff will post value-added data that will allow visitors to sort the information in a number of ways, including:

  • Sorting a candidate's donors by occupation
  • Viewing a candidate's donors by locality and ZIP Code
  • Seeing each contributor's complete donor history back to 1997

You will receive an email announcement Thursday to notify you that VPAP has placed the coded information online.

On Friday, VPAP will begin posting candidate reports from the localities where it tracks money in local races. For a complete list a cities and counties, read about the Local Elections Initiative
