Champion of Free Speech and Faith Charlie Kirk Assassinated

The tragic loss of Charlie Kirk is a profound national tragedy that has left us all heartbroken. At just 31 years old, this devoted father leaves behind his wife, Erika, and their two young children, who will grow up without his guidance simply because he dared to voice a differing opinion. Charlie was peacefully seated on stage at Utah Valley University, engaging in an open debate as part of his "American Comeback Tour," when an assassin's bullet ended his life on September 10, 2025, an act of senseless political violence that has shocked the nation. We have been holding his family in our prayers throughout this devastating week, seeking comfort for their unimaginable grief.

Tonight, there will be a community Prayer Vigil in honor of Charlie Kirk at 5 p.m. on the Courthouse Lawn in Goochland County, Virginia. This gathering is an opportunity to come together in unity, reflection, and prayer, echoing the many vigils springing up across the country to remember his legacy.

Charlie Kirk was a tireless advocate for free speech, open debate, and civil discourse. Through Turning Point USA, he created platforms where even his fiercest critics could voice opposing views without fear. Yet, in a heartbreaking act of domestic terrorism, he was assassinated by 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, who reportedly harbored disdain for Kirk's conservative viewpoints. Tragically, following his death, many on the radical left have responded with victim-blaming rhetoric and dehumanizing celebrations, underscoring the deep divisions that Charlie fought so hard to bridge. There message is clear, keep different points of views to yourself or else.

Above all, Charlie Kirk was a man of deep faith who loved our Savior Jesus Christ, cherished his family above everything, and was passionately devoted to our country. He courageously pushed back against the radical left's divisive ideologies that have eroded our national unity. His life was cut short for simply exercising his First Amendment rights, a stark reminder of the fragility of our freedoms.

Rage is Not the Only Answer

In stark contrast to the unrest we've seen in other tragedies, Charlie's supporters are responding with mourning and resolve, not riots, looting, or destruction. Let us honor his example by committing to the civility he championed.

Charlie Kirk's funeral will be held next Sunday, September 21, in Arizona, where friends, family, and admirers from across the nation will gather to celebrate a life that inspired millions. In this time of sorrow, may we rededicate ourselves to the values Charlie held dear: faith, family, freedom, and fearless truth-telling. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Erika and the children, may God's peace surround them.

Evil Will Not Win, The Movement Will Go On

Erika Kirk delivered a moving and heartfelt message about her deep love for her remarkable husband, Charlie Kirk. He had the potential to be an extraordinary president of the United States one day.

Tragically, Charlie’s children will grow up without their father. Though this loss is profound, I trust that God will bring good from this sorrow, even in the midst of a difficult week. Charlie’s unwavering commitment to loving Jesus Christ and upholding the founding principles of our nation will only grow stronger, inspiring countless others to carry his vision forward.

My prayer is that his legacy and message will continue to draw our country closer to God, fostering a brighter future for all Americans.

Early voting begins in just 5 days, on September 19th! Let’s spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors to vote Republican and support our shared values of God, Family, the Constitution, Freedom, a strong business climate, and common-sense policies.

Recently, every House Democrat in Washington, D.C., voted against the Working Family Tax Cut Act, a bill that would have prevented the largest tax increase on the middle class in history, supported law and order, codified 28 Trump Executive Orders, promoted safe cities, and fueled economic growth.

Instead, Democrats, led by figures like Spanberger, continue to push policies that defy reason and morality, including:

Allowing boys in girls’ bathrooms and sports
Supporting gender surgeries for minors
Advocating open borders
Releasing dangerous criminals onto our streets
Defunding the police

Our job as legislators is to be your voice and get things done. I've been able to pass bills each year where every republican and every democrat voted yes, but the policies supported by Spanberger stand in stark contrast to our commitment to law-abiding citizens and Christian values. We must reject the normalization of harmful ideas and ask: Why do Democrats prioritize criminals over hardworking families?

Our team has been tirelessly knocking on doors, funding campaigns across Virginia, putting up signs, and greeting voters across the 5th Congressional District. All three statewide offices and all 100 House of Delegates seats are up for grabs this November. Winsome Sears and our full Republican ticket are aligned on the issues that matter, but victory depends on turning out the vote.

For Freedom and Common Sense, I urge you to vote early on September 19th. This will free you up to help us rally others to the polls. Together, we can secure a brighter future for our district and our nation.

Sen. Tim Kaine’s recent remarks exposed a fundamental truth about the modern Democratic Party: they reject the principle that our inalienable rights are endowed by our Creator.

The United States was founded on the belief that our rights, enshrined in the Constitution, are God-given and inherent to every individual. Yet, Kaine’s comments suggest Democrats view these rights as privileges bestowed by the government. This is a profound and dangerous distinction. It reveals a worldview where rights are not sacred but subject to the whims of those in power.

If Democrats believe the government grants our rights, they could just as easily revoke them upon regaining control. This perspective undermines the very foundation of our republic. Our Founding Fathers fought the Revolutionary War to reject tyranny and affirm that our liberties are not contingent on any ruler, regime, or political party.

Our rights are not privileges to be dispensed or withdrawn by a dictator, monarch, or government. They are unalienable, endowed by God, and must be defended as such.
