| | | Yes, that is sarcasm in our headline. Anybody who has ever heard Joe Biden speak publicly knows he wants to ban firearms. It is hard to find any occasion where he doesn't talk about banning guns. It is likely that he talks about it in his sleep. |
| | As we mentioned just last week, California is a laboratory for oppressive and ineffective gun control. That was in the context of a bill that would punish financial service providers for refusing to discriminate against firearm manufacturers. This week gives us two more examples of how California uses gun control, not to pursue public safety, but as a tool of empty virtue signaling and official discrimination. |
| | Stymied by the American people and their elected representatives in attempts to enact the type of sweeping legislative gun control they desire, the gun controllers in the federal government sometimes lash out at the Second Amendment rights of those who fall more directly under their control. The most grotesque manifestation of this practice occurs when the federal government attacks the right to keep and bear arms of those who have volunteered to bear arms in defense of the country. The publication of a recent Department of Defense-funded report about soldiers and suicide raises concerns about new efforts to undermine service members' Second Amendment rights. |
| | Many municipalities being pressured by the progressive left have "defunded the police," with activists claiming that shrinking "massive" police budgets would actually improve public safety. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), for one, faced budget cuts of $150 million for 2021. |
| | NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre railed against "anti-freedom" politicians who he says work to "destroy organizations and individuals who get in the way of their personal political agendas," during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday. |
| | The power of the NRA comes from its members, and is highlighted by the most active volunteers helping to support NRA's mission—like Randy Bendorf of Nebraska. |
| | Join us April 14 - 16, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN for the event of the year! The NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits is the only event of its kind where you can see all the major firearms and accessory manufacturers under one roof. |
