Re: Great job, everyone!

I'd like to throw in my congratulations for a job well done.  I am trying to find out if this # of petitions is a record for a two day event. That would be neat, but more importantly you all made some new acquaintances yesterday and today that may become part of our great team and possilby new friendships. You may have changed some minds and found some new supporters. Who knows, youu may have awakened a new citizen activist.  I've said this before, but I feel blessed to have such a hard woking team of patriots.  So many of our volunteers and supporters make a sacrifice to be a volunteer, drive many miles (sometimes 300) to help, give up some of their time and resources to be a part of a reawkening in this great county of ours. We are in a fight for our freedoms, our liberties, our Constitution and all the things that we expressed our thanks for this past Thursday.   Pat yourself on the back - you did a great and worth while job these past two days.

And PS, I hope you are feeling better, Toni!

Hi Russell,
Thank you for the updates and the privilege to help out Saturday morning!

Deb is going to follow up with Pam about the quilting shows at the Colosseum and perhaps sponsoring a COS quilting competition!

All the Best,
Jay & Deb Thomas

Thank you all!

We collected 181 paper petitions the first day, and another 160 today, for a two day total of 341!  We probably had a dozen or less that were entered straight into the computer, too.  The quality of the conversations are important, too, and I think those were very good, too.  We will never be able to recruit everyone we see, but you got a lot of people to think about it even if they didn't sign up.

As always, let us know if you have suggestions for improving the gun show event.  I would say it was pretty darn efficient, but there is always a fresh idea somewhere that can improve things.  (Note to myself...bring even more handout cards!)

Pam and I really appreciate you taking the time to help with the project, and hope to meet up with you again!  Keep watch for email announcements for future gun shows, breakfast meetings, and Lobby Day in Richmond.  We are collaborating with VCDL on MLK day and you can expect a lot of interesting activity throughout the general assembly.

Pam will need a hand from time to time for various things, so please let her know if you are able to help with future events.  Many hands make light work.

Thanks again,

Russell Beyer
