Abortion Clinic Regulations

Dear Friend,

There will be a meeting of the Virginia Board of Health with regard to the final regulations for abortion clinics TOMORROW, September 14, 2012.

I would like to encourage you to contact the Board of Health to request that the regulations not be altered from the "emergency" regulations. Written testimony to the Board of Health may be submitted directly to Joe Hilbert, Director of Government Relations at Joe.Hilbert@vdh.virginia.gov.

Below is a link to an article by the Family Foundation with regard to the findings of the initial visits by the Health Department to 9 of the 20 abortion clinics applying for licensure under the new regulations.  In one clinic blood and baby remnants were found all over a freezer where the remains from abortions were stored until they could be picked up as medical waste.  To say this is disturbing is an understatment.

The inspections found that none of the clinics were without deficiencies.  See the full article here:http://familyfoundation.org/2012/09/breaking-news-fetal-remains-blood-found-in-virginia-abortion-center/

Thank you for your help!

Sincerely,

Delegate Bob Marshall
