Promoting conservative solutions

Dear Robert —

As the next fundraising deadline looms, I’m going to cut to the chase and keep this short.  I need your help today to ensure I have the resources in the coming months to push back against the attacks coming from my opponent and other liberal groups across the Commonwealth.  They are determined to take back control of the Senate and advance Terry McAuliffe’s (and Hilary Clinton’s) out-of-touch agenda in 2016.

My opponent—a self-described full-time climate change activist—and her friends in Richmond only care about one thing: confusing voters by making baseless attacks to distract them from my record of success in the General Assembly.  I have led the legislative fight for property rights, voter ID, charter schools and strengthening our laws against human trafficking.  I am confident that voters in the 26th District want commonsense solutions to the problems we currently face rather than heightened partisanship and mud-slinging campaigns. Help me send a strong message that we are going to stand and fight for our shared conservative values!

Your most generous contribution of $25, $50, or $100 before tonight’s critical fundraising deadline will show my opponent and the liberals in Richmond that we’re not backing down.  I am committed to running on my record while focusing on issues like education reform, strengthening our public safety laws, and advancing a limited government that focuses on core functions.

Your support today will allow me to do just that.  As I travel across Virginia over the next few months, I’m going to be working hard to ensure that commonsense conservatives maintain control of the Senate in November by helping other conservative candidates in key races across the Commonwealth.  I appreciate your support over the years and look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail as we link arms and work together on promoting conservative solutions!

Best regards,

Mark Obenshain
