Virginia@: We Can't Win Without Your Help

I'm used to hard-fought campaigns. I won my last state senate race by just 101 votes.

But running statewide is a different story. I can't just rely on an overwhelming grassroots effort like I did in my state senate races.

While grassroots is still critical, the vast majority of my campaign expenses will be radio and TV advertising, travel back and forth across the commonwealth, statewide voter mailings, printing and postage.

All of those things cost a lot of money.

That's why it's easy for a well-funded opponent to come in and swamp a candidate who doesn't have the resources to fight back.

I probably won't raise as much money as my opponents. But I must raise enough to put together a winning campaign.
