House Republicans voted for the Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government funded. Democrats, who backed the clean CR in March, voted no on the clean CR this time. Democrats instead want a shutdown so they can spend your hard earned dollars on illegals. We only have 53 Republican US Senators, but you must have 60 US Senators, including 7 Democrats, to pass the CR. This is essentially the same CR that passed with 7 democrats in March. But now they are putting politics over we the people.

I was thrilled to join some of my incredible friends Winsome Earle-Sears, our next Governor, along with Senator Tammy Mulchi and Delegate Tommy Wright (who’s also up for re-election this November) right here in Prince Edward County.

We hit the ground running, riding monster trucks, shooting BB guns, and spending over two hours connecting with YOU, our amazing Southside community, about the bright future of our Commonwealth.

Winsome’s energy and vision for Virginia are unstoppable, and it was an honor to have her with us in Southside!

I flew home from Arizona wearing this Charlie Kirk Freedom shirt, and I was amazed by the response. People of all ages approached me with positive comments, sharing that they watched the Celebration of Life on TV and regretted not knowing more about Charlie Kirk. Many expressed enthusiasm about researching him further. One 80-year-old gentleman even admitted feeling ashamed for not being familiar with Kirk’s work.

UVA Free Speech & Civil Discourse

It was a privilege to speak to University of Virginia students at the Free Speech & Civil Discourse event, hosted in honor of Charlie Kirk alongside Attorney General Jason Miyares in Charlottesville, Virginia.

My favorite thing about Charlie Kirk is his courage and faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.

I am grateful to the The Jefferson Council for the invitation. The data consistently shows that political violence is more prevalent on the left. Let’s be clear: words are not violence, violence is violence.

Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears, Congressman Morgan Griffith, Delegate Chris Obenshain, Sheriff Hank Partin, and I honored the incredible life of Charlie Kirk, who was a champion of civil discourse, free speech, & showed his love of Jesus everyday, at Virginia Tech.

His legacy and message will never be forgotten.

Charlie Kirk Memorial in Arizona

Tracy and I attended the Charlie Kirk Memorial in Arizona, and it was a truly remarkable experience. Unlike scenes of chaos or destruction we see from the left, this event was peaceful, with no cities burned or looted. The stadium overflowed with an extraordinary turnout, filled with the love, prayer, and Spirit of Jesus Christ.

The most powerful moment in Arizona came when Erika Kirk publicly forgave the assassin. God has given us Faith, Hope, and Love, with Love being the greatest of these. Forgiving such profound evil is undoubtedly challenging, but if God extends His grace to us, we are called to extend grace to others. May God bless you, Erika, for your incredible strength, and may God continue to bless you, Charlie Kirk!
