Serving God by serving in government?

Some say faith and politics don't mix, but we know that King David was a governmental leader who loved God. We have people of faith serving in our government today at every level, and many more running for office. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 29:2 that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice.
