Volunteers of Convention of States Virginia will share a brief informational presentation on Article V of the United States Constitution.
| | | You're Invited Saturday, June 23, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Denny's Restaurant (Breakfast and beverages available for purchase) 12441 REDWATER CREEK RD CHESTER, VA 23831You will learn what volunteers have been doing and how you can help get proposed amendments to address federal official term limits, fiscal restraints, and federal overreach.
Virginia's Colonel George Mason knew that the newly formed federal government would need oversight by the states. He knew that Congress would never propose amendments that would limit federal powers, terms, and fiscal matters.
Mason and the Framers ensured that our Constitution also provided for the states to propose amendments in Article V. Your state senator and delegate are the key to checking federal misbehavior.
We now have over 30,000 supporters in Virginia, almost doubling from one year ago. But your state representatives need to hear from you! Learn how and learn why.
Bring a friend and meet your neighbors and fellow patriots. While there is no requirement to RSVP, we would appreciate it if you could let us know of your intention to attend so we can give the staff a better idea of the space required.
